Announcing the 2009 iBIO IndEx
Business Plan Competition
Sponsored by PROPEL and the iBIO EC
PROPEL and the iBIO Entrepreneurship Center (iBIO EC) are pleased to announce their first iBIO IndEx Business Plan Competition, which was created to spotlight formation-stage and early-stage life sciences companies in Illinois.
In this highly selective competition, entrepreneurs will compete for a $10,000 cash award!
A solid business plan that outlines a company’s technology and market is vital to the success of any organization. Your ability to clearly and concisely convey this information to potential investors and partners is also critical. Our judges will evaluate both written and oral presentations of your plan.
This competition is not only a chance to win a cash award, but also a terrific opportunity to have your company’s business plan reviewed and commented on by industry professionals.

How It Works
The Preliminaries consist of a formal
application submitted by entrants. A panel of life sciences
community members will score each application, and a maximum
of six companies will advance to the finals stage. At the Finals,
companies will be judged on their 5-minute presentation (with
optional media and a limited time for Q&A). Finals will
take place at the 2009 iBIO IndEx on Wednesday, March
18, 2009. Each finalist company will receive one
complimentary pass to iBIO IndEx 2009; additional passes
for finalists will be available at reduced rates.
The winning company will be announced at iBIO IndEx. The
competition is free to enter, so get started now! Click here for
the application. Applications must be received via email
to PROPEL@ibio.org by
5 pm on Friday, February 6, 2009. Contact Josette Jones,
iBIO Operations Manager, at 312.422.1111x6 or jjones@ibio.org with
any questions.
