Join PROPEL at our upcoming breakfast seminar on an alternative to funding joint collaborations between Israeli and American companies in the life sciences area through the BIRD Foundation. The BIRD Foundation's mission is to stimulate, promote and support industrial R&D projects of mutual benefit to the U.S. and Israel. BIRD (which stands for Israel – US Binational Industrial Research and Development) provides matchmaking services between Israeli and American companies in the field of Research and Development.
The BIRD Foundation offers conditional grants for joint development projects on a risk-sharing basis. The Foundation funds up to 50% of each company's R&D expenses associated with the joint project (and no more than $1 million per project). Repayments are due only if commercial revenues are generated as a direct result of the project. (If a project fails, BIRD claims no repayments.)
If your company would like to learn about this unique industrial partnership model for joint R&D and commercial product development, please register to attend this event. Cost of this event is $15 per person, including breakfast. Thursday, August 5 8:30 – 10am iBIO 65 East Wacker Place, #1600 Chicago, IL 60601
