Think Global: When, Why and How Life Sciences Entrepreneurs Should Internationalize
Starting a life sciences company is challenging enough – thinking about the market opportunity outside of the US may not be a priority. But international markets shouldn’t be an after-thought. Join PROPEL in our discussion of when, why and how an early stage life sciences company should consider international opportunities. Whether you are thinking of entering Europe before the US for regulatory purposes or if you could use assistance with R&D from an international partner or if you want to consider international funding, there are many international issues to explore besides just filing international patent applications.
At this workshop, we’ll discuss the many potential pathways of entering international markets, including non-US regulatory processes, non-US reimbursement issues, R&D partnerships, international clinical trials, and more. This is relevant for life sciences companies with therapeutics, medical devices, diagnostics, life sciences tools and industrial biotech products as early as formation-stage to preparing for launch.
Panelists at our discussion will include:
Nadeem Ali-Khan, Vice Consul – Biotechnology, Pharmaceuticals and Healthcare, UK Trade & Investment
Bill Kohlbrenner, Director - Global External Research, AbbVie
Christian Koschil, International Trade Specialist, US Department of Commerce – Commercial Service
John Moore, Key Account Manager, Vetter Pharma International
Registration is $10. For questions, contact Monique Velasquez at mvelasquez@ibio.org or 312.422.1111x6.
