November 09, 2009

EZRock is a totally new and patent pending medical device that allows one caregiver to manually transfer patients weighing up to 250 lbs who cannot consistently bear weight on their legs. Unsupported manual transfers are a major source of lower back injury for nursing staff. EZRock helps reduce risk of lower back injury because it supports all of a patient's weight during the entire transfer process. The unique product design has a detachable cradle that supports the patient's thighs and chest. The aluminum alloy support base quick-connects at different heights to adjust to different transfer scenarios, allowing for more efficiency. The entire system is compact and weighs only 29 lbs, making it easy to transport and store. With a retail price of $1,499, EZRock is a cost-effective supplement to a facility's Safe Patient Handling program.
