Policy

Biotechnology is a complex, highly regulated industry. At iBIO, we diligently advocate for an industry that is vital to the Illinois and Midwest economies. Our membership cares deeply about science based regulation, strong intellectual property protection, fiscal stability and predictability, as well as maintenance of a business-welcoming business climate.

State Capitol Building, Springfield

As the state's leading advocate for our life sciences super cluster, we develop and support initiatives at the local, state and federal levels that ensure those public policy goals.

As the voice of biotechnology and life sciences, we regularly inform our members on issues of importance and mobilize the community to support or oppose important legislation.

We also work closely with other stakeholders, collaborating with partners to leverage the strengths of like-minded policy organizations.
